RARE Vintage Fur Accented Gold Brocade Oscar de la Renta Coat

This is an absolutely stunning piece from designer Oscar de la Renta‘s 1960s collection. This is a long black coat made of either wool or cashmere. The inside label has been removed so actual fabric is unknown. He has made vintage coats of both fabrics in the past. The coat is fully lined and adorned with fur cuffs and collar that extends all the way to the base of the hem. The fur is highlighted by the gold brocade trim. There are four interior button closures.
READ Please note, this jacket is decorative only. The black fabric has been exposed to time and moths have made areas thread bear including one small hole. The fur is worn in some areas and is very delicate. I am a designer and have had it on a mannequin in my office as a decorative/art piece.
This is a museum worthy piece and as these coats usually go for thousands of dollars, this one is priced for someone who enjoys having a piece of timeless history, and a one of a kind coat from one of the world’s most adored designs.
